THERE is always high demand for NCTS in the early part of each year because tests are due on the anniversary of first registration the vast majority of vehicles are registered in the first half of the year.

It is essential, therefore, that owners with cars due an NCT in January, February and March start making preparations and use the facility to get an early test.
You can test up to 90 days in advance of your test due date without affecting the expiry date of the certificate.
So you will still get a certificate valid for one or two years from the test due date (depending on the age of the car).
